I just finished putting together an apothecary dream gift for Mother’s Day. When you think of a gift for your Mom on Mother’s Day it is easy to go to the default of flowers, and I am a big fan of flowers, but giving  her something she will use, something that makes her feel good is another way to show your love.  So much of being a Mother is taking care of others, so giving a gift that allows her to spend some time and take care of herself  is a lovely way to say thank you.

Shenandoah is a signature fragrance by Terri Michele we have the body wash, lotion and candle. So good for your skin, super hydrating, perfect for summer….

Essential oils by Olo, Captain Blankenship, and MCMC, they are unique, and beautiful, with a scent for everyone….

Everyone likes to paint their toes in the summer, RGB is one of the best products I have ever used, hands down. The colors or vibrant, and they last a long time, but the best part is there is NO Formaldehyde, NO Toluene, NO DBP

We have rad new bags in the store from Collina Strada and Claire Vivier-

This is the Claire Vivier messenger which I have in both black and navy. Super slouchy in a timeless silhouette, it has a relaxed edge that will be a go to bag  for a very long time, if not forever.

Also from Claire Vivier is the La Pochette, adorable neon stripes, a small pocket inside, something to help keep our big bags manageable, and perfect to take along on small outings….

Collina Strada bags are also here, I don’t think her leather could be any softer, and the colors are right. She makes her bags all in leather, or mixes canvas print with leather, both are amazing.

This is the Cartella bag which works crossbody and has a super handy front pocket. Here it is canvas andleather.

We have been up at our friends cabin in Arnold this week….it was a lot of fun, pictures to come soon….

I wanted to show you a shot I took  last week of a new bag that will be in the store shortly. It is a large Tibetan Market bag, made from all recycled fabrics, the colors are so vibrant and amazing, I think it will be fun to juxtapose its big with the scantily clad outfits of summer….aah summer –soon enough……but how about the epic thunder and lightning last night, not too often out here in California.

I had meetings yesterday, and when I went to dress I was uninspired. So I made the call and wore what was easy, and comfortable- jeans and a t-shirt.

With this blank canvass so many things are possible, I added an amazing necklace and a hat. The necklace is from Mercy Vintage, and the hat Pretty Penny, these are two stores I could not live without. Nor could I live without my accessories, they are transformational.

it’s a rainy windy day and it totally slowed me down this morning, running to open the store on time, i was late and there was no time to adorn, do make-up, or style my hair, thankfully where i was going had what i need…..

A HEADBAND for days of un-wash, when there’s no time, or because hair is uncooperative.

I thought a stack of Moroccan bracelets also might be nice. This is an inexpensive way to add color, texture, and volume to your look, while remaining authentic in your choice. It can be expensive to stack multiple bracelets on, and this is a way  to achieve the look without breaking the bank or compromising.

Finish it up with a simple earring……

Add Ilia Bang Bang, and begin.

i know that everyone is excited about spring, and so am i. it is so thrilling even with all this rain to walk out my front door and see and smell the all too lovely blooms– happy spring!
